The following website has reported that a landmark paper on homeopathy and cancer has appeared in the February 2010 issue of the International Journal of Oncology. The paper reports on a study of four homeopathic remedies that have shown positive results using homeopathic remedies on breast cancer cells.
The study is significant because -
a) it was carried out at a top cancer research hospital in the U.S.;
b) it was reported in the International Journal of Oncology - a highly respected, peer-reviewed, mainstream medical journal; and
c) the homeopathic remedies were tested on breast cancer cells 'in vitro' - i.e. in a laboratory petri dish - not on patients - which means there can have been no 'placebo effect' .

An article in another mainstream medical journal - BMC Cancer - has shown that under homeopathic care sizeable benefits were achieved. The improvement was clinically relevant and statistically significant. It could also be seen in symptoms of physical and mental fatigue. If you're interested in the science of how homeopathy and kinesiology might work, then have a look at Lynn McTaggart's book 'The Field' - available from Pinnacle Books in Wellington, or online. In this book she reports physics experiments that show that the 'weird' quantum effects known and accepted to occur at the huge universe level and at the nano level also occur in between - i.e. at the human level, and within the biology of our bodies. Lynn McTaggart's latest book - 'The Bond' builds on this research and explains how physics shows we are all connected. She goes on to describe how humankind craves this connection and cooperation rather than competitive business and other practices and suggests that the big changes we see around us in the world at the moment (such as the shake-down of the economic system and the large media conglomerates, and the big changes occuring in many countries as people overthrow their dominating governments) are part of the universe re-balancing. She says the universe will always seek equilibrium and 'fairness' and when things get really out of kilter and 'unfair', it will re-balance to bring things into line. She also describes how any project which truly has at its core a belief and intention to help and bring good to the 'whole' will be able to use this energy for success.
